Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In a bowl, mix turkey, 1 tsp garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Shape into 12 small patties and sear over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  2. Slice the rolls in half horizontally. Lay the bottom slab in a 9x13 dish and top with half the cheese, the patties, and remaining cheese. Place the top slab over everything.
  3. Stir the remaining 1 tsp garlic powder into the melted butter and brush over the rolls. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted. Serve warm with parsley if using.

Notes

Let the sliders rest a minute before cutting them apart so the cheese sets a little. If you’re feeding a smaller group, the recipe halves easily in an 8x8 dish.
