Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup pecan halves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Spread cut side down on a large baking sheet.
  2. Roast 10 minutes. Remove from oven and scatter bacon and pecans over sprouts. Drizzle maple syrup evenly and shake the pan gently to coat.
  3. Roast another 15 to 20 minutes, until sprouts are deeply browned and tender and bacon is crisp.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl, scraping up all the sticky glaze from the pan, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra-crispy results, place a rimmed baking sheet in the oven while it preheats and add the sprouts to the hot pan.
