Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
  • 1½ cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • Pickled jalapeño slices
  • ¼ cup sour cream, thinned with 1 tsp milk
  • ¼ cup salsa

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). In a skillet over medium-high, cook ground beef until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain fat, add taco seasoning and water, and simmer until thickened, 2 minutes.
  2. Place tortillas on baking sheets. Divide beef among tortillas, leaving a ½-inch border, then top with cheese.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is bubbly, rotating sheets halfway.
  4. Let pizzas rest 1 minute, then top with lettuce, tomato, olives, jalapeños, a drizzle of sour cream, and salsa.
  5. Slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

If you want an even crunchier crust, preheat the baking sheets in the oven and build the pizzas directly on the hot metal. A pizza cutter works best for clean slices.
