Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped cilantro

Method

  1. Brown the ground beef with taco seasoning, then drain excess fat.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese and salsa until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture in a baking dish, top with beef and shredded cheese.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until melted and bubbly, then add any toppings and serve.

Notes

Leftovers reheat well, and the dip can also be kept warm in a small slow cooker for parties. For an even crispier top, broil for the last minute, watching closely so the cheese doesn’t burn.
