Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 crispy tostada shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • Vegetable oil or cooking spray

Method

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, drain fat, then stir in taco seasoning and ¼ cup water. Simmer 2 minutes.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat and layer beef, a tostada, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and cheese in the center.
  3. Fold the tortilla edges up and around the filling, pleating as you go.
  4. Grill seam-side down in a lightly greased skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  5. Slice in half and serve right away with extra sour cream or salsa.

Notes

Assemble the wraps just before griddling so the tostada stays crunchy. The seasoned beef can be made a day ahead and reheated in a skillet or microwave. If you want the cheese extra gooey, place a lid over the crunch wrap for the last 30 seconds of cooking so the steam melts it fully.
