Ingredients

  • 1 (13.5 oz) package soft sugar cookies
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • colored sprinkles

Method

  1. Crush cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
  2. Beat cream cheese and almond extract until smooth, then mix in cookie crumbs until a dough forms.
  3. Roll into tablespoon-sized balls, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze for 10 minutes.
  4. Melt white chocolate in 30-second bursts, then dip each ball to coat completely, tapping off excess.
  5. Immediately top with sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Let set at room temperature or in the freezer, then serve.

Notes

The truffle centers can be rolled and frozen uncoated for up to a month. Dip in chocolate when ready to serve. Allow 10 minutes to freeze the balls before coating and 5 to 15 minutes for the chocolate to set after decorating.
