- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Pat chicken thighs dry and place in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, then coat with half the sauce, arranging skin side up.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Brush with remaining sauce and bake another 10 to 15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 175°F (79°C) near the bone.
- Broil on high for 2 to 3 minutes until glaze bubbles and chars in spots. Transfer to a platter and spoon pan juices over the top.
Notes
If using boneless thighs, start checking for doneness around the 20-minute mark. Let the thighs rest 5 minutes off the heat before serving so the juices settle.
