Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz cold-smoked salmon
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
  • Pinch of salt and a few grinds black pepper

Method

  1. Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until completely smooth, about 2 minutes.
  2. Flake the smoked salmon into rough pieces. Gently fold the salmon, dill, and capers into the cream cheese mixture until just combined, about 30 seconds.
  3. Spoon the dip into a serving bowl, top with extra dill, and serve right away with crackers or vegetables.

Notes

If you have a few extra minutes, chilling the dip for 15 minutes lets the flavors meld and gives it a firmer texture. It will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
