Ingredients
Method
- Beat butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Beat in egg and vanilla just until combined.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in crushed Oreos, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are just set and centers look slightly underdone.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and serve.
Notes
The dough needs at least 30 minutes of chilling time, which is not counted in the prep. For thicker cookies, scoop and freeze the dough balls for 15 minutes before baking instead. If your crushed Oreos are very fine, the cookies will spread a bit more; a mix of chunky pieces and fine crumb works best.
