Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp finely grated orange zest

Method

  1. Beat the heavy cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Stir together the sweetened condensed milk, orange juice, and zest in a small bowl, then gently fold into the whipped cream until no streaks remain.
  3. Transfer to a freezer-safe container, cover the surface directly with parchment or plastic wrap, and freeze at least 6 hours. Let soften 5 minutes at room temperature, then scoop and serve.

Notes

The ice cream needs to freeze for a minimum of 6 hours, but overnight gives the best texture. If it freezes solid, let it sit on the counter for a few extra minutes until it softens to a scoopable consistency.
