Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment if you like.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In another bowl, whisk the granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a spatula just until no flour streaks remain. Do not overmix. Scrape the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. If the top browns too quickly, tent with foil for the final 15 minutes.
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes, then turn out and cool completely. Slice with a serrated knife and serve.
Notes
Spoon and level the flour when measuring, scooping directly can pack in too much and make the bread dry.
