Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tsp cotton candy flavoring, oil-based
  • Pink and blue gel food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup crushed cotton candy or cotton candy pops

Method

  1. Whip the 2 cups of heavy cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Fold in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring with a spatula until no streaks remain.
  3. Dot the surface with pink and blue food coloring, draw a few gentle swirls with the spatula, then fold in the ½ cup of crushed cotton candy.
  4. Transfer to a loaf pan, press parchment on top, and freeze at least 6 hours. Scoop and serve with a sprinkle of crushed candy.

Notes

The base must freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, before it is firm enough to scoop. If the ice cream has been frozen longer than a day, let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes for the cleanest scoops.
