Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth and fully combined, scraping the bowl as needed.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt gently until no dry flour remains. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are set and lightly golden.
- Let the cookies rest on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack or plate to serve warm.
Notes
Bake in two batches, keeping the remaining dough at room temperature. The second batch may bake a touch faster since the pan is already hot, so check a minute early. If you want slightly thicker cookies, chill the shaped dough for 20 minutes before baking.
