Ingredients
Method
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt; cook 1 minute, then drain fat.
- Set broiler to high and place rack 6 inches from heat. On a rimmed baking sheet, layer half the chips, half the beef, and 1 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining chips, beef, and cheese.
- Broil until cheese is bubbly and chip edges just start to toast, 4 to 6 minutes, watching closely.
- Remove from oven and immediately top with sour cream, salsa, avocado, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime wedges. Serve right away.
Notes
The chip amount is flexible; use whatever fills your baking sheet in a single layer. A half-sheet pan works perfectly for 4 servings. If your broiler runs hot, check at 3 minutes to avoid burning.
