Ingredients

  • 1 (12-pack) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • ¼ lb thinly sliced salami
  • ¼ lb thinly sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ lb thinly sliced ham
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini or banana peppers (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan for topping (optional)

Method

  1. Slice the rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a 9x13 dish. Layer the salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone, and pepperoncini on top.
  2. Whisk the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  3. Place the roll tops over the cheese. Brush the butter mixture evenly on top. Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 to 7 minutes more until golden and bubbly.
  4. Cool 2 minutes, then cut along the roll seams into individual sliders. Serve warm.

Notes

Any combination of Italian deli meats works well here. For a darker, crunchier top, slide the pan under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes after baking, watching closely so it doesn’t burn.
