- Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the fillets skin-side down for 4 minutes, flip, and cook 2 minutes more.
- Pour the glaze into the pan around the salmon. Let it bubble and thicken for 1 minute, spooning it over the fillets. Transfer to plates, top with scallions and sesame seeds, and serve.
Notes
Use center-cut fillets of similar thickness for even cooking. If your salmon was frozen, thaw and dry thoroughly before searing.
