Ingredients
Method
- Combine ground beef, panko, milk, egg, 1 tsp Worcestershire, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and shape into 4 oval patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear patties 4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet. Add onion and mushrooms, cook 6 to 8 minutes until soft and golden. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir 1 minute. Slowly whisk in broth and 1 tbsp Worcestershire. Simmer 5 minutes until thickened. Optional: stir in cream.
- Return patties to skillet, spoon gravy over, cover, and simmer 5 to 7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Serve over mashed potatoes.
Notes
Let the patties rest for a minute off the heat before serving so the juices settle. If the gravy gets too thick after simmering, splash in a little more broth until it reaches the consistency you like.
