- In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Melt 1 tbsp butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip 4 roll halves in the custard for 20 to 30 seconds per side, then place in the pan. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until deep golden. Repeat with remaining butter and rolls.
- Arrange the French toast on plates, drizzle with maple syrup, and top with fresh fruit. Serve right away while warm.
Notes
If your skillet gets too dark between batches, wipe it clean before adding more butter to keep each round evenly golden.
