- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until no longer pink, about 5 to 6 minutes. Spoon off excess fat if needed.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the beef, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 1 to 2 minutes until glossy.
- Meanwhile, boil ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain well and shake off excess water.
- Add noodles to the skillet and toss with tongs until evenly coated, about 1 minute. Remove from heat, top with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
Notes
If the finished dish tastes a touch too salty, a squeeze of lime juice brightens everything. For a thicker sauce, let it bubble for an extra minute before tossing in the noodles.
