Greek Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Beat in egg, Greek yogurt, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low just until combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  5. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined sheets and bake 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly underdone.
  6. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Oven temperatures vary, so check the first batch a minute early. The cookies will look a little soft when they come out of the oven; that’s normal and they set up as they cool. For an even chewier texture, let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking (no adjustment to bake time needed).
