Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) can flaky-layer biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  2. In a large bowl, stir melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper flakes. Add biscuit pieces and toss to coat.
  3. Layer a third of the dough in the pan, then a third of the cheese. Repeat twice, finishing with cheese on top.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until deeply golden and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center dough reads 190°F (88°C).
  5. Cool in pan 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate and flip back. Pull apart warm and serve scattered with extra parsley.

Notes

Let the bread rest a few minutes after baking so the cheese sets slightly and the pan releases cleanly. If your loaf pan is smaller than 9x5, the dough may need a few extra minutes to cook through. Serve the same day for the best texture.
