Ingredients
Method
- Warm milk to 110°F, stir in yeast and a pinch of sugar, and let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Mix in melted butter, remaining sugar, egg, vanilla, and salt. Add 2 cups flour and stir to a shaggy dough. Add 1/3 cup sprinkles and another 1 cup flour. Knead 8 to 10 minutes, adding the rest of the flour as needed, until smooth and elastic.
- For the filling, mash together 1/2 cup softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and 2 tbsp sprinkles until spreadable.
- Roll the risen dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly, leaving one long edge bare. Roll up, seal the seam, and cut into 12 rolls. Place in a buttered 9x13 inch pan.
- Cover and let rise 30 to 40 minutes until puffy. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake 22 to 25 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Beat cream cheese, 3 tbsp butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Glaze warm rolls and top with extra sprinkles.
Notes
Rising time is not included in the total; allow about 1 hour 40 minutes for both rises combined. For the cleanest cuts, use unflavored dental floss instead of a knife.
