Ingredients
Method
- Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add milk, egg, and vanilla, then whisk until combined.
- Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add to wet ingredients and fold just until a dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat each completely in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 12 minutes, until edges are golden. Let sit on sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, and 1 tsp milk, adding more milk until a thick ribbon falls from the whisk. Drizzle over cooled cookies and let set for 10 minutes.
Notes
If you skip the glaze, the cookies still deliver plenty of cinnamon flavor. They will be a touch soft right out of the oven but firm up as they cool. Store leftovers with parchment between layers to keep the tops from getting sticky.
