Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup dill pickle slices, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp finely diced red onion
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Method

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble in the beef and let it cook undisturbed for 2 minutes, then break it apart. Cook until no pink remains, about 8 minutes. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper during the last minute.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and vinegar until smooth.
  3. Divide the lettuce between two bowls. Top with the beef, tomatoes, pickles, cheddar, and red onion, spreading everything out.
  4. Drizzle the sauce over both bowls and serve right away.

Notes

Drain excess fat from the beef after cooking if you prefer a leaner bowl. The sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to a week.
