Ingredients
Method
- Mix the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and thyme into a paste. Smear the paste all over the frozen turkey breast, pressing it onto the skin.
- Place the turkey, skin side up, in a 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours, until an instant-read thermometer reads 165°F in the thickest part away from the bone.
- Transfer the breast to a cutting board using two spatulas. Rest for 10 minutes, slice against the grain, and serve hot with the pan juices.
Notes
If you’d like crispy skin, broil the sliced turkey on a baking sheet for 3 to 5 minutes after cooking. The breast will be very tender, so lift it carefully. Resting the meat before slicing is key to keeping it juicy.
