Method
- Place the frozen corn, cubed cream cheese, butter, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and pepper into a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2½ hours or on low for 3 to 4 hours, until the cream cheese is fully melted and the corn is tender.
- Stir thoroughly until the sauce is smooth and coats the kernels, then spoon into a serving bowl and serve warm.
Notes
High setting yields a slightly softer corn texture; low setting lets the flavors meld longer. If you hold it on warm for more than an hour, stir in a splash of cream before serving to revive the sauce.
