Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced scallions
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)

Method

  1. Stir together chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing in a 1.5 to 2-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 2 to 3 hours or HIGH 1 to 2 hours.
  2. After 1 hour on HIGH or 1.5 hours on LOW, stir the dip, then sprinkle cheddar on top. Cover and cook until melted, 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Switch to WARM, top with scallions and blue cheese if using. Serve with chips and celery.

Notes

For the smoothest dip, use full-fat cream cheese and ranch dressing. Low-fat versions can turn grainy when held on warm. If the dip tightens up after sitting out, stir in a tablespoon of milk or extra dressing. Cook time can vary; the dip is ready when fully melted and bubbly at the edges.
