- In a slow cooker, whisk buffalo sauce and ranch seasoning, then add chicken breasts in a single layer and spoon sauce over.
- Dot butter on top, cover, and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours, until chicken reaches 165°F and shreds easily.
- Remove chicken, shred with two forks, return to the sauce, and let sit 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
The exact time depends on your slow cooker. Start checking at the 4-hour mark on low, and if the chicken pulls apart without resistance it is ready. For a spicier result, use a hotter wing sauce or add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce at the end.
