Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper

Method

  1. Boil the macaroni in salted water until al dente, 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat, then add cubed Velveeta. Stir until fully melted and smooth, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the milk, add garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until combined and glossy, about 1 minute.
  4. Return the drained pasta to the sauce and fold until every noodle is coated. Serve immediately.

Notes

If the sauce thickens too much after adding the pasta, stir in a splash of milk to loosen it. You can also finish with a pinch of paprika or a handful of shredded cheddar on top for extra flavor.
