Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 35 crackers)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for serving (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat cream cheese, sour cream, soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth. Fold in chicken and cheddar.
  2. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13‑inch baking dish.
  3. Crush the crackers into coarse crumbs, stir with the melted butter, and sprinkle over the casserole. Press lightly to adhere.
  4. Bake 25‑30 minutes until bubbly and deep golden. Rest 5 minutes, top with parsley if using, and serve hot.

Notes

If your rotisserie chicken is unsalted, taste the base before spreading it in the dish and add a pinch of salt. The sauce will be very hot out of the oven; the short rest helps it set enough to scoop cleanly and keeps it from burning anyone.
