Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced corned beef
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and squeezed dry
  • 1/3 cup thousand island dressing
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp dried minced onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Method

  1. Slice the connected rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom half in a 9x13 baking dish. Layer with half the Swiss, all the corned beef, sauerkraut, dressing, remaining Swiss, and top half of rolls. Press gently.
  2. Stir poppy seeds, minced onion, and garlic powder into the melted butter. Brush over the tops and let it drip into the crevices.
  3. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes until the tops are golden and cheese melts.
  4. Let rest 5 minutes, then cut into individual sliders with a serrated knife and serve hot.

Notes

If you like a softer top, leave the foil on the whole time and skip the uncovered bake. For a crispier top, broil for the last minute, but do not walk away. Letting the sliders rest after baking is not optional; it keeps them from falling apart when you slice.
