Ingredients
Method
- Open the cinnamon roll cans, set icing aside, and cut each roll into 4 pieces.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Toss the cut rolls and optional cream cheese with the custard, transfer to a greased 9×13-inch dish, rest 10 minutes, then cover and chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Uncover and bake 35-40 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Let cool 5 minutes, then drizzle the reserved icing over the top and serve.
Notes
Chilling the casserole overnight gives the best custard texture, but a 4-hour soak still works. If you plan to halve the recipe, use an 8×8-inch dish and start checking for doneness around 25 minutes.
