Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (about 30g)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, raspberries, cacao nibs, peanut butter

Method

  1. In a 16-ounce jar or a bowl with a lid, mix the rolled oats, cocoa powder, chia seeds, protein powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  2. Add the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup if using, and vanilla. Stir until completely smooth with no dry streaks. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. In the morning, stir the oats well. If they're too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with banana, berries, cacao nibs, or a drizzle of peanut butter and serve.

Notes

The oats need at least 4 hours in the fridge to soften. For the best texture, make them the night before. If meal prepping, store each portion in its own jar so they're ready to grab.
