Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-cup bundt pan with butter and dust with flour. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until sandy, then whisk in eggs one at a time and vanilla.
- Whisk in sour cream until smooth, then stir in the dry ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, then spoon the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate and lift the pan off.
Notes
Cooling time is not included in the times above; give the cake at least 1 hour to cool before slicing so the crumb sets properly. If your pan is dark nonstick, start checking for doneness 5 minutes earlier.
