- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prick crust with fork, line with parchment and weights, and bake 15 minutes. Remove weights and bake 5 minutes more until dry.
- Whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugars, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour filling into warm crust, arrange nuts evenly, and bake 50 to 60 minutes until edges are puffed and center jiggles slightly.
- Cool completely on a wire rack, at least 2 hours, then slice and serve.
Notes
The pie tastes even better the next day, so bake it the night before and let it set in the fridge overnight. The chocolate chips stay soft and the slices come out picture-perfect.
