- In a large bowl, stir together the cream cheese, sour cream, green chiles, enchilada sauce, cumin, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of the sauce in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer half the tortilla strips, all the chicken, half the remaining sauce, and 1 cup cheese. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, sauce, and cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes.
- Slice into squares and serve hot, with any toppings you like.
Notes
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes after baking so it slices cleanly. For a spicier kick, use hot green chiles and pepper jack cheese.
