Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Spoon about 2 tbsp filling onto the wide end of each, roll up, and pinch edges to seal.
  3. Place rolls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with melted butter if desired. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until deep golden.
  4. Let the rolls cool 5 minutes on the pan. Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with chives, and serve warm.

Notes

If a triangle of dough tears when you unroll it, just press the section back together before filling. The seam won't show after baking.
