Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F. In an ovenproof skillet, cook onion and garlic in oil until soft. Brown ground beef, then stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire, ketchup, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Add beef broth and diced tomatoes, scrape up browned bits, and simmer 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
- Arrange no-boil noodles in a single layer over the meat mixture, breaking to fit. Top evenly with cheddar cheese and chopped pickles. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly, broiling briefly for a crisp top if desired. Let rest 5 to 10 minutes before cutting.
- Slice into squares and serve with extra pickles, ketchup, and mustard if you like.
Notes
The rest time is crucial—don’t skip it, or the slices will fall apart. If your skillet isn’t ovenproof, transfer the meat mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish before layering the noodles and cheese; you may need a few extra minutes of bake time.
