Ingredients

  • 2 (5 oz) cans salmon, drained
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp finely diced red onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Drain the salmon, turn into a bowl, and flake with a fork, mashing the soft bones in.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the mayo, yogurt, Dijon, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a few grinds of pepper.
  3. Fold in the salmon, celery, red onion, and dill until evenly coated. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Spoon onto bread, greens, or crackers and serve cold.

Notes

This salad keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. If making ahead, add the fresh dill just before serving for the brightest flavor, though it is still tasty mixed in. The bones are a great source of calcium and soften so well you will not notice them.
