Ingredients
Method
- Pat the shrimp dry, then toss with 1 tbsp oil and all the spices in a bowl.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat for 2 minutes, add the remaining oil, and sear shrimp in a single layer for 2 minutes per side until blackened and opaque. Work in batches if needed.
- While the shrimp cook, toss the cabbage with mayonnaise, juice from half a lime, and a pinch of salt. Stir in cilantro.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 20 seconds per side. Pile shrimp and slaw onto each tortilla and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
The slaw can be made a few hours ahead and chilled. Let the shrimp rest on the plate for just a minute after cooking so the juices settle, but serve right away while they’re hot.
