Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups Original Bisquick mix
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, very soft
  • ⅓ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment. Mix Bisquick, milk, and granulated sugar to a soft dough; knead briefly in the bowl.
  2. Roll dough into a 12 by 10-inch rectangle, spread butter, and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up snugly, seal seam, and cut into 9 slices.
  3. Place slices in the pan and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden on top. Cool 5 minutes.
  4. Whisk powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk, and vanilla until smooth, adding more milk if needed. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

If the pan darkens too fast, tent with foil after 15 minutes. For the cleanest slices, use unflavored dental floss and slide it under the log, cross the ends, and pull.
