Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a sheet with parchment. Cut each biscuit into 4 wedges.
- Boil water and baking soda. Drop in a few wedges at a time, boil 30 seconds, then place on the sheet.
- Arrange on the sheet, brush lightly with some melted butter, sprinkle with salt, and bake 10 to 12 minutes until deep golden.
- Remove from oven, brush with remaining butter and add a final pinch of salt. Serve hot.
Notes
Flaky layers biscuits give the chewiest result. These are best fresh from the oven, but leftovers can be reheated in a 350°F oven for a few minutes to revive the crust.
