Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle chips
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced white onion
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Method

  1. Brown the ground beef in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 6 minutes, season with spices, and drain any fat.
  2. Whisk together mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar, and the remaining spices to make the sauce.
  3. Divide lettuce into bowls, top with beef, cheddar, pickles, onion, sauce, and sesame seeds, then serve right away.

Notes

For the freshest crunch, toss the lettuce and toppings only when you’re ready to eat. If you prefer a warm bowl, let the beef and sauce sit together for a minute before spooning over the cold lettuce.
