Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning. Stir in the chicken, celery, and onion until fully coated.
- In a separate bowl, toss the dry stuffing mix with the melted butter until all the crumbs are evenly moistened.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared dish, then scatter the buttered stuffing over the top in a light, even layer without pressing it down.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly at the edges and the stuffing is deep golden brown. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then scoop and serve.
Notes
If your stuffing mix includes a separate seasoning packet, stir that into the butter before tossing with the crumbs for even more flavor. This casserole holds well under a loose foil tent on the stovetop for up to 20 minutes if you are waiting for everyone to sit down.
