Method
- Mix the softened butter with garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Loosen the turkey skin and spread two-thirds of the butter under it. Rub the remaining butter over the skin and season with a pinch more salt and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F. Cook skin side up for 45 minutes, baste with pan juices, then cook 10 to 15 minutes more until a thermometer reads 160°F.
- Rest the turkey 10 minutes, then slice against the grain and serve with the drippings spooned over the top.
Notes
If your turkey breast won’t fit in your air fryer basket, you can cut it in half crosswise (through the bone). Reduce the total cook time by about 10 minutes. Let the breast rest for 10 minutes after cooking; the temperature will rise to 165°F.
