Ingredients
Method
- Tear kale into large pieces, discarding thick stems. In a large bowl, massage the oil and salt into the leaves for about a minute until everything is evenly coated.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Working in batches, arrange kale in a single layer. Cook 5 to 8 minutes, shaking once halfway, until chips are crisp and edges are lightly browned.
- Immediately transfer to a bowl. Taste and add a little more salt if needed. Serve warm for the best crunch.
Notes
If you want to add spices like garlic powder or smoked paprika, mix them with the oil and salt in Step 1. The chips will crisp more as they cool; pull them just before they look fully done to avoid bitterness. This recipe doubles easily, just keep each batch in a single layer so the kale chips properly.
