- Toss the frozen hashbrowns with oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a generous pinch of salt until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes, then spread the seasoned hashbrowns in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook for 10 minutes, shake and break up any clumps, then cook another 5 to 8 minutes until deep golden and crisp.
- Transfer to a bowl, season with a little more salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe works best with standard uncooked frozen hashbrowns; avoid the kind that are formed into patties, as they won’t break apart and crisp the same way. If your air fryer runs hot, check a minute or two early.
