Ingredients
Method
- Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels. Toss with baking powder, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spritz lightly with oil spray if using.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (200°C). Arrange the wings in a single layer and cook for 15 minutes.
- Increase the heat to 400°F (200°C). Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket after 4 minutes, until the skin is deep golden and crackly.
- Transfer the wings to a plate and let them rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
For even crunchier skin, lay the seasoned wings on a rack in the fridge, uncovered, for 1 to 2 hours before cooking. This air-dries the skin further. If you sauce them, wait until they come out of the air fryer so the coating stays crisp.
