- Pat chicken dry and cut into 1-inch chunks.
- Toss with oil, then coat evenly with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and onion powder if using.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange chicken in a single layer and cook 9 to 11 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and 165°F inside.
- Pile onto a plate, sprinkle with flaky salt if desired, and serve with dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra-crispy edges, pat the chicken very dry before coating. Leftovers reheat well in the air fryer at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes. This recipe doubles easily; just cook the bites in batches so the basket stays uncrowded.
