- Crush the biscuits in a bag with a rolling pin for about 2 minutes until you have a mix of crumbs and pea-sized pieces. Set aside.
- Grease an 8-inch pan and line with parchment. Melt butter, chocolate, and golden syrup together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth, about 4 minutes. Stir in salt and cool for 2 minutes.
- Fold the crushed biscuits into the chocolate until coated. Press firmly into the prepared pan for about 1 minute until compact and even.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Unmold, slice with a warm knife, and serve.
Notes
Chilling time is not included in the prep or cook time; the cake needs at least 4 hours to set. For the cleanest slices, dip the knife in hot water and wipe between cuts. Leftovers keep well covered in the fridge for several days.
